ARRIVAL AT ULAANBAATAR
We receive you at the airport and drop you at your hotel. After a meet and greet, we will get a basic orientation and begin a tour of a city that over half the population of the country call home.

									Amarbaysgalant
							
							
								
ULAANBAATAR – AMARBAYASGALANT (B,L,D)
We leave early and start heading towards the North. Several hours north of Ulaanbaatar and deep inside the Selenge River Valley we find the Amarbaysgalant monastery. This formerly largest Monastery in Mongolia had suffered extensive destruction but was reconstructed in parts with significant attention to detail. The monastery is still active and monks live and worship here, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Here we also spend our first night in a Ger.

									Uraan Togoo
							
							
								
AMARBAYASGALANT - URAAN TOGOO (B,L,D)
The Uraan Togoo is one of the largest extinct volcanoes is Mongolia. Surrounded by dense forest it takes a comfortable hike to reach to crater. From there, the 360degree view over the surrounding areas is amazing. Uraan Togoo is among the most perfectly shaped conic craters in the region, formed by volcanic activity that fortunately ceased a long time ago.

									Khuvsgul
							
							
								
URAAN TOGOO - KHUVSGUL (B,L,D)
Lake Khuvsgul is also known as the “blue pearl of Mongolia”. Large, flanked by mountains and with crystal clear water, this lake is among the unique highlights of the country. We reach the lake in the afternoon and will spend two nights at this marvelous place.

Today we offer to go exploring the lake together and to visit the reindeer herders of the Tsaatan tribe, before enjoying the evening with a hearty dinner at the camp.

									Shine-Ider
							
							
								
KHUVSGUL - SHINE IDER (B,L,D)
We leave Khuvsgul and make our way back south, towards the central region. After driving through typical northern Mongolian countryside, we reach the small town of Shine-Ider. We take some rest here before heading to our Ger camp and exploring the surrounding area.

SHINE IDER - TERKH WHITE LAKE (B,L,D)
The white lake Terkh is located at the foot of the extinct Khorgo volcano, in a marvellous national park. We spend the day hiking and riding around the lake and up the Khorgo. From above, we will have a stunning view of the white lake and the surrounding hills. There are stunning geological features around the lake as well, and we have plenty of time to explore them all.

TERKH WHITE LAKE - TSENKHER HOT SPRING (B,L,D)
After a long trip we deserve some relaxation. Tsenkher is a popular weekend vacation spot for locals, known for its healing waters since pre-soviet times. It is located in a picturesque valley with forested hillsides and a small creek running through it. The spring itself is surrounded by Ger camps, though the valley around it is, like most of Mongolia, virtually empty of people. Take your time, explore or just soak in one of the thermal pools supplied by the hot spring.

									Karakorum
							
							
								
TSENKHER HOT SPRING - KARAKORUM (B,L,D)
Karakorum was once the capital of the Mongol Empire. Today, the site features archaeological excavations and the Buddhist temple of Erdene-Zuu.  After visiting the temple, we will enter the high-quality Karakorum museum. Here we will learn about the history of what is today Mongolia, with special focus on the excavations of Karakorum and artefacts of the high period of the Mongol Empire.

									Khugnu Khan
							
							
								
KARAKORUM - KHUGNU KHAN (B,L,D)
Along the road back to UB, we stop for one last night in Khugnu Khan. This sandy area is a natural replica of the ecosystem of the Gobi, almost 100km to the south of Khugnu Khan. We will ride camels into the dunes, hike through the sand and enjoy for one last time the tranquility of the Mongolian countryside.

KHUGNU KHAN - ULAANBAATAR (B,L)
We reach UB over the course of the afternoon. After enjoying the comfort of our hotel for a while, the rest of the day is free to enjoy, before we meet for a relaxed farewell dinner.
